ComVantage Consortium met at the premises of SAP Research Dresden, SAP AG from 20th to 22nd September. The partners have consolidated a common vision, deepen in the application use cases and established the basis of the ComVantage architecture.

The 13 partners from the FP7 Integrated Project ComVantage, met at the premises of SAP Research Dresden, SAP AG for 3 days. During 3 days, from 20th to 22nd September the consortium shared views and approaches to product-centric collaboration spaces for inter-organisational users including end-customers.

With the objective of facilitating a competitive advantage to enterprises through innovative spaces for information exchange, the partners have evaluated during the meeting the main technological components for a linked data infrastructure facilitating effective inter-organisational collaboration. The discussions have focused on the technological approach to facilitate a secure collaboration via dynamic and de-centralised access to information, the development of easy to handle and trustful collaboration applications for mobile interaction and the assessment of collaboration applications with verified business added value.

The meeting has also served as a kick-off for the requirements elicitation process, through extensive discussions of 3 different collaboration scenarios. The scenarios included mobile maintenance, plant engineering and commissioning and customer-oriented production. The analysis addressed different collaboration types and the need for extensive information exchange among large enterprises, small and medium enterprises and includes the customer as a key producer of product information.
