ComVantage actively participates in FIA 2014 Athens

ComVantage took an active participation during the 2014 Future Internet Assembly (FIA) event from 18th to 20th March 2014. This eleventh edition of the Future Internet Assembly was held in Athens, Greece, being a collaboration of more than 150 projects, aiming at strengthening European activities on the Future Internet to maintain European competitiveness in the global marketplace. This year’s event was focused on the new Internet technological landscape based on network/cloud integration & virtualization and innovative software, services and cloud technologies that enable application innovation.
ComVantage was represented in this event by the DBI community (former FInES) Cluster chairman Oscar Lázaro (Innovalia Association) and Julianna Katonna (K&A). Two posters about ComVantage project were shown in order to demonstrate its scientific and technological excellence, its first results in the automotive manufacturing environment and its afterlife exploitation.

ComVantage will take an active participation during the 2014 Future Internet Assembly (FIA) event from 18th to 20th March 2013. This edition of the Future Internet Assembly will be held in Athens, where more than 400 European Internet scientific and economic actors, researchers, industrialists, SMEs, users, service and content provider representatives are expected to meet. The FIA event will bring together key European Internet stakeholders to reshape the future internet infrastructure for innovation.

ComVantage will be represented by Innovalia and K&A who will be present in a booth demosntrating the Mobile Maintenance Prototype.

ComVantage project will participate in the next ICT 2013 event in Vilnius

ComVantage project will participate in the next ICT 2013 event in Vilnius on 6-8 November under the motto Create, Connect, Grow, in which more than 4000 researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, young people and politicians will participate.

ComVantage will above all participate and take part in the different networking sessions organized regarding the ICT for manufacturing, among others. ComVantage is specially interested in attending different sessions related to the work carried out within the project such as “The Next Generation Collaborative Industrial Systems and their Impact or “ICT for Factories of the Future”.

ComVantage contributes to IERC AC4 Manifesto on IoT Semantic Interoperability: Research Challenges, Best Practices, Solutions and Next Steps

ComVantage has collaborated with IERC AC4: Service Openness and Interoperability Issues on Semantic interoperability 2012-2014. ComVantage has been selected as a reference project in the field of enterprise interoperability and mobile collaboration. The ComVantage reference architecture and the ComVantage interoperability approach to deal with enterprise collaboration in the enterprise domain have been recognised as a best practise.

ComVantage project presented in the Researches’ night event at Ben-Gurion University

Hundreds of visitors participated in the Researches’ night event at Ben-Gurion University, where ComVantage project was presented by BGU team members. Visitors to the ComVantage booth, located in the EU zone of the event, included a diverse audience from all ages. The visitors, mostly the younger ones, were interested in the technological aspects of ComVantage infrastructure as well as the process capabilities enabled by the platform. For example a fourteen year old junior high school student wondered if the ‘cloud’ he hears so much about is used by the platform. A special interest was shown in the potential adaptation of ComVantage platform to specific business needs and its expected organizational benefits. For example, a construction manager asked if the ComVantage platform could help him cut down operational costs by supporting direct interaction with suppliers.
